About Nancy Jolley
Welcome to my page! I do not have a primary medium of focus; I select the medium to be used based on the subject material at hand. I work primarily in pastels and acrylics though I also enjoy working with oils, watercolors and collages. I'm also driven by working with color and abstract interpretations. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest which provides me with a variety of subjects ranging from the ocean to the mountains to the deserts. I am a graduate of Oregon State University with a specialization in Interior Design and textiles. More recently, I have had the opportunity to pursue other artistic interests. I just love the chunky blocks of color and texture and bold brush strokes in this painting. And the light and tones are sublime. Close to abstract but your inspiration is unmistakable - the combination really appeals to me.
